25th Annual Race for the Cure

Focus Forward supported the Susan G. Komen foundation by participating in the 25th Annual Breast Cancer Walk on Mother’s Day!

Already this year, the local Komen chapter has distributed $2.6 million to 48 organizations and projects across the tri-state region, ranging from the African Family Health Organization to the Wellness Community of Philadelphia. Overall, it has distributed $12.5 million since 2001.

Nationally, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the largest nonprofit funder of breast cancer projects. It has given nearly $1 billion in grants over the last 25 years. Nancy G. Brinker of Dallas founded the organization in 1982 to fulfill a promise to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything she could to end breast cancer.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Fiesta Tuesday!

Happy hour 2

We like to change things up around here!  Focus Forward’s “Thirsty Thursday” was replaced this month with our first ever “Fiesta Tuesday”. Even the cold weather could not keep us from gathering at Plaza Azteca on Tuesday, February 3rd to celebrate our amazing year.  In keeping with our competitive spirit, co-worker teams of 2 played multiple rounds of “Heads Up” charades in their quest to win prizes…and bragging rights!  It wasn’t always pretty watching us act out clues, but Mike O’Neill and Monica Montes were not shy. These animated amigos took home top prizes and bragging rights. Until next month…

~ Dawn Roth, HR Manager and First-time Host of Fiesta Tuesday!

We’ll see you in New York!
